Premier Energies Reports 53% Surge in Q1 Profit to Rs 472 Crore

Premier Energies has demonstrated remarkable financial performance in the latest quarter, with a year-on-year net profit surge of over 53%, amounting to Rs 471.9 crore for the June quarter of FY27. This growth is supported by a substantial increase in total income, which rose to Rs 2,507.6 crore from Rs 1,869.5 crore a year prior, reflecting robust operational execution and a favorable market environment for domestic solar module production. The company’s consistent investment in expanding its manufacturing capabilities has been a key driver in fulfilling the rising demand for renewable energy solutions.

The latest quarter saw Premier Energies producing significant quantities of renewable energy components, including 844 MW of solar cells, 953 MW of solar modules, and 570 MVA of transformers. The company’s initiatives to enhance production capabilities were underscored by the recent inauguration of a 5.6 GW module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur, while progress is being made on a 7 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Naidupeta, where trial operations are imminent. This strategic expansion not only reinforces Premier Energies’ foothold in the solar sector but also positions it favorably against competitors in a rapidly growing industry.

The board’s approval for the re-appointment of Managing Director Chiranjeev Singh Saluja for another five-year term emphasizes the leadership’s commitment to long-term growth strategies. Premier Energies is ambitiously working towards more than doubling its annual solar cell manufacturing capacity to 10.6 GW, while maintaining a solar module capacity of 11.1 GW. This investment, exceeding Rs 12,500 crore, is directed not only towards solar capabilities but also towards diversifying into areas such as ingots, wafers, inverters, and batteries. Such a multifaceted expansion plan provides Wealthova investors with a compelling narrative around the company’s potential for sustained profitability and market leadership in the renewable energy sector.
