Tempsens Instruments Launches Rs 650 Crore IPO with Price Band Set at Rs 285-300 per Share, Opening August 20
Rajasthan-based Tempsens Instruments is poised to launch its initial public offering (IPO) on August 20, aiming to raise ₹650 crore at a price band of ₹285-300 per share. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of shares worth ₹95 crore, alongside an offer for sale (OFS) of 1.85 crore equity shares amounting to ₹555 crore by current shareholders, including Amit Talesara and Puneet Talesara. This substantial IPO, which will open for bidding from August 20 to August 24, also allows participation in the anchor book starting August 19. With a minimum investment of ₹15,000 at the upper price band, investors will need to bid for at least 50 equity shares.
The proceeds from the fresh issue will be allocated towards financing certain capital expenditures, with ₹18 crore earmarked for electrical heating solutions and specialized cable solutions. Additionally, ₹55 crore will be utilized for repaying outstanding borrowings, with the remainder allocated for general corporate purposes. Tempsens Instruments holds a dominant market share in the temperature sensor segment and is one of India’s leading manufacturers of electrical heaters, which signifies its sustained growth potential backed by expanding manufacturing capabilities.
Investor sentiment in the grey market appears cautiously optimistic, reflecting the company’s strong growth trajectory with reported revenues of ₹444.8 crore in FY26, a significant rise from ₹274.8 crore in FY24. Given that Tempsens Instruments continues to advance its position in essential sectors such as thermal engineering and advanced sensory technologies, the IPO presents an attractive opportunity for Indian investors looking for exposure in a niche yet critical industry. As the company prepares for listing on the BSE and NSE on August 28, market participants will closely monitor its performance, amidst increasing interest in promising firms tapping into India’s growing tech-driven landscape.
