PVV Infra Secures Ownership of NHLML Wayside Amenities Sites in Madhya Pradesh

The National Highways Logistics Management (NHLML) has officially declared October 27 as the appointed date for the handover of two wayside amenities sites to PVV Infra in Madhya Pradesh. This transfer allows PVV Infra to begin development and construction works at the sites on a Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) lease basis. The project covers 7.09 hectares and is intended to support the increase in pilgrim and vehicular movement ahead of the Simhastha Purna Kumbh Mela 2028 in Ujjain, including amenities such as fuel stations, EV charging points, and parking facilities.

For the common citizen, this development should enhance travel convenience on National Highway 44, one of the principal freight corridors in India. The introduction of essential facilities at regular intervals along the highway will likely reduce travel fatigue, improve safety, and boost local economies through increased patronage of restaurants and services. Marketly, these amenities can attract significant investment and transform the dynamics of logistics and passenger transport in the region, leading to improved business prospects for small and medium enterprises.

In the long term, this initiative is part of NHLML’s broader strategy to establish over 700 wayside amenities sites by FY29, aimed at modernizing India’s highway infrastructure. The government and RBI’s supportive policies for road transport development may further enhance public-private partnerships, stimulating economic growth. PVV Infra’s focus on expediting engineering and compliance processes will be crucial in meeting the timelines laid out by NHLML, ensuring that the facilities are operational in time for the anticipated surge in traffic during the Kumbh Mela.
