India’s New-Age Companies Poised to Reach $1 Trillion Market Value by 2030, According to Redseer

India’s new-age ecosystem is on track to achieve a remarkable market capitalization of USD 1 trillion by 2030, driven by an anticipated influx of companies poised to enter the public markets. According to the recent Redseer India IPO Report: 2026, approximately 210 new-age firms have been identified as IPO-ready within the next 24 months, following a thorough assessment of 1,400 companies. Currently, these new-age companies constitute around USD 150 billion of the total market capitalisation, representing approximately 4.6% of India’s overall market valuation. Under Redseer’s base-case projections, this figure could substantially increase to about 11.5% by the end of the decade, signifying a notable shift in market dynamics.

The evolution of India’s IPO market has been striking, having grown nearly eightfold in proceeds over the past ten years. This growth trajectory positions India as the third-largest global player in terms of IPO proceeds, showcasing the robust health of its capital markets. Significant factors contributing to this development include heightened participation from domestic institutional investors such as mutual funds, insurance companies, and pension funds. Their increased involvement has bolstered the market’s resilience against global financial fluctuations, reducing its historical reliance on foreign investments during periods of volatility.

Investor sentiment has also experienced a notable shift, with a growing preference for companies that demonstrate profitable growth prior to listing. The report highlights a marked increase in the proportion of IPOs by firms reporting profits after tax (PAT) at the time of listing, escalating from 50% to 70% between FY22 and FY26. Concurrently, the median pre-IPO revenue growth rate has moderated, declining from 50% to 33%. This shift indicates that investors are prioritizing sustainable business practices and financial discipline, aligning governance and valuation standards with investment decisions.

Overall, the analysis presented in the report underlines a maturing IPO landscape in India, characterized by increased depth and resilience in the new-age sector. Rohan Agarwal, a Partner at Redseer, emphasizes that the narrative surrounding India’s IPO market has evolved beyond just the volume of listings, positioning the country for a promising future. As the market continues to mature, significant opportunities for investors may emerge, driven by companies that are focused on governance and long-term growth trajectories.
