Indel Money to Raise Up to Rs 500 Crore Through Public Issue of Non-Convertible Debentures

Indel Money, a non-deposit taking non-banking finance company, has announced a public issue of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) with a target to raise up to Rs 500 crore. The issue is scheduled to open on August 18 and will close on August 31, although it includes the possibility of early closure pending necessary approvals. Investors interested in participating must submit a minimum application of Rs 10,000 across all series, with further increments in multiples of Rs 1,000. The structure consists of a base issue of Rs 250 crore, along with an oversubscription option allowing for a total issuance of up to Rs 500 crore.

The proceeds from this capital raise are earmarked for various financial undertakings, including the refinancing of existing debts, servicing current obligations, and supporting general corporate purposes. Notably, the company has clarified that funds will not be allocated towards any prepayment penalties associated with existing borrowings. This strategic funding initiative is set against a backdrop of stable Indian government bonds, as traders await pivotal US inflation data that could influence market dynamics significantly.

The Indian economy exhibits resilience, evidenced by a retail inflation uptick to 4.45% in July, alongside a moderate decline in oil prices attributed to an extension of geopolitical ceasefires. As articulated by Indel Money Director Umesh Mohanan, the ongoing credit demand illustrates the essential role of organized lenders, particularly in the specialized sector of gold loan NBFCs, to cater to the financial needs of both individuals and businesses. This funding move is poised to enhance Indel Money’s capital standing, enabling the company to effectively navigate the evolving credit landscape and fortify its long-term growth strategies while adhering to regulatory stipulations.
