Gehlot Accuses Government of Misleading Public on Inflation and Fuel Shortage Issues

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has accused both the Central and State governments of misleading the public regarding the ongoing inflation crisis and essential commodity shortages. He pointed to a significant rise in prices for fuel, fruits, vegetables, and milk, claiming that the government is not taking necessary measures to address these issues. Gehlot criticized the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party for being preoccupied with elections while ignoring warnings about impending inflation from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

In his statements, Gehlot highlighted reported fuel shortages at various petrol pumps in Rajasthan, asserting that while the government claims there is no shortage, petrol and diesel supplies have been limited, with many outlets completely out of fuel. He pointed out that this misinformation has led to confusion among the public, resulting in long queues at petrol stations. He emphasized the need for the government to provide accurate information regarding fuel and LPG availability to prevent public panic.

Gehlot urged the government to take immediate action and clarify the situation to the public. He warned that failure to do so could lead to unforeseen challenges that would exacerbate the current crisis. By addressing the misinformation and providing truthful updates, he believes the government can help citizens make necessary preparations and potentially alleviate some of the panic surrounding the ongoing fuel crisis.
