Fusion Klassroom Secures Over Rs 11 Crore from Anchor Investors as SME IPO Launches This Friday

Fusion Klassroom Edutech Ltd has successfully raised Rs 11.08 crore from anchor investors in advance of its initial public offering (IPO), which is set to open for public subscription on July 31. The Mumbai-based edtech company has allocated approximately 6.96 lakh equity shares at an anchor investor price of Rs 159 per share. Notable entities participating in this allocation include Subhkam Ventures (I) Pvt Ltd, Kuber India Opportunity Fund, and Ekamya Pragati Scheme I. The total size of the IPO is Rs 39.04 crore, with a conclusion date of August 4, and the company expects its shares to be listed on the BSE SME platform on August 7.

The IPO consists of both a fresh issue of up to 19.89 lakh equity shares and an Offer-for-Sale (OFS) of up to 4.65 lakh shares from promoters and other investors. The net proceeds from the fresh issue will be directed toward repaying debt and enhancing technology, including investments in AI/ML model development, cloud infrastructure, and new offline centers. The company aims to strengthen its organizational capabilities, given the competitive nature of the edtech market in India, where it provides coaching for various professional courses such as CA, CS, and CMA.

For Indian investors, the upcoming IPO presents an opportunity to engage in the growing edtech landscape, particularly as Fusion Klassroom aims to innovate and expand its service offerings. The financial figures indicate a healthy revenue stream, with a reported total income of Rs 23.10 crore and a profit after tax of Rs 7.6 crore in FY26. With Narnolia Financial Services Ltd acting as the sole book-running lead manager, the sentiment around this IPO is likely to focus on the scalability of the tech-driven education model, thus attracting attention from both retail and institutional investors keen on capitalizing on the evolving education sector.
