Cyberabad Civic Body Approves Construction of 45-Metre Ameenpur Kaman-Gandhi Statue Road and 30-Metre JJ Nagar-Kompally Road.

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has approved significant infrastructure projects, including a 45-metre-wide road from Ameenpur Kaman to Gandhi Statue and a 30-metre-wide road linking JJ Nagar and Kompally. Both projects will involve property acquisitions based on feasibility assessments, reflecting a strategic approach to urban development. These initiatives, discussed at the 4th Ordinary Meeting of the Standing Committee chaired by Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, prioritize connectivity and accessibility in the region.

A notable decision from the meeting is the approval for constructing a permanent office building for the CMC near Mudi Kunta lake, with an estimated cost of ₹161 crore. This new headquarters will feature a ground-plus-eight-floor design with future expansion potential, serving as a centralized hub for administrative services that aim to enhance governance and public service delivery. Such a facility is expected to streamline operations and bolster the CMC’s capacity to meet urban challenges effectively.

In the public health domain, the committee greenlit an entomology pilot project aimed at improving mosquito control in newly added urban local body circles. This project includes deploying personnel, conducting fogging operations, and procuring necessary equipment. Furthermore, the CMC approved the engagement of 14 vehicle-mounted bucket ladders for tree maintenance activities, with an investment of approximately ₹5.7 crore. This initiative aims to promote scientific tree care and enhance urban greenery management across all zones, reflecting a commitment to sustainable urban living.
