PB Fintech Reports Impressive Q4 Surge: Net Profit Soars 54% to Rs 261 Crore, Revenue Climbs 36%
PB Fintech, the parent company of Policybazaar, is poised for attention in the upcoming trading session, buoyed by its impressive financial results for the March quarter. The company reported a significant 54% increase in net profit, reaching Rs 261 crore, compared to Rs 169 crore during the same period last year. Operating revenue also saw a robust year-on-year growth of 36%, climbing to Rs 2,061 crore from Rs 1,507.8 crore. This surge in revenue is primarily attributed to a strong rise in new insurance premium collections, underscoring the importance of this segment as the core business of the group.
In terms of annual performance, PB Fintech posted substantial growth in both operating revenue and net profit, with total operating revenue for the financial year hitting Rs 7,166 crore, a marked increase from Rs 5,385 crore the previous year. Core renewal and trail revenue also improved, climbing to Rs 935 crore from Rs 668 crore the prior year. Notably, quarterly core insurance renewal revenue significantly enhanced with an annualized run rate of Rs 1,126 crore, a sizeable increase over last year’s Rs 689 crore. Additionally, Q4 demonstrated solid growth, with core renewal revenue increasing 63% compared to the previous year.
Although the company continues to invest heavily in marketing—reporting a 21% increase in marketing expenditure from Rs 307 crore last year to Rs 370 crore—these efforts appear to be yielding positive outcomes. Employee costs also rose notably, highlighting the scale of the company’s growth. In the lending segment operated through Paisabazaar, total disbursals reached Rs 31,000 crore for FY26, illustrating the robust performance in credit distribution. The overall financial health is underlined by a consolidated profit after tax which remarkably surged 115% year-on-year to Rs 670 crore, alongside an improvement in margins from 6% to 10% for FY26. Such strong performance metrics position PB Fintech favorably within the fintech landscape, suggesting further optimism among investors.
