Molbio Diagnostics IPO Launches on August 10, Price Band Set Between Rs 768 and Rs 807.

Molbio Diagnostics is poised to make its market debut with an initial public offering (IPO) scheduled for August 10, 2026. Priced between Rs 768 and Rs 807 per share, the IPO aims to raise approximately Rs 939.70 crore, consisting of a fresh issue of shares valued at Rs 200 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) component totaling Rs 739.70 crore. Key stakeholders in the OFS include promoter entity Exxora Trading LLP, which will sell approximately 18.11 lakh shares valued at Rs 146.15 crore, and India Business Excellence Fund III offering 10 lakh shares worth Rs 80.70 crore. This IPO will allow retail investors to enter at a minimum investment of Rs 14,526 for a lot size of 18 shares.

The proceeds from the IPO are earmarked for significant capital expenditures to elevate the company’s infrastructure and enhance its research and manufacturing capabilities. Specifically, Molbio plans to invest around Rs 125.12 crore on establishing a research and development facility and a Centre of Excellence, with an additional Rs 80.81 crore dedicated to upgrading equipment in its manufacturing facilities based in Goa and Visakhapatnam. The remaining funds will support general corporate purposes, thereby positioning the company to capitalize on growing demand for rapid diagnostic solutions, a sector witnessing increased focus amid global health challenges.

Financially, Molbio Diagnostics has displayed robust growth leading up to its IPO, with total income for FY26 soaring by 42% year-on-year to Rs 1,455 crore, up from Rs 1,027 crore in the prior year. Correspondingly, profitability improved, with profit after tax (PAT) climbing 18% to Rs 164 crore from Rs 138.58 crore in FY25. The firm’s focus on expansion, particularly in diagnostics for infectious and non-communicable diseases, supports its strategic objective to establish a healthcare footprint that meets rising global health needs. The company’s flagship Truenat platform demonstrates a commitment to innovation in affordable, portable testing solutions, enhancing its application across various critical health domains.

The timing of Molbio Diagnostics’ IPO presents a compelling opportunity for investors as the global demand for accessible diagnostics continues to escalate. Investors should remain vigilant about market conditions and potential shifts in healthcare priorities, which could further influence the company’s growth trajectory. The strong financial performance combined with substantial planned investments in infrastructure and research positions Molbio as a significant player in the molecular diagnostics landscape.
