₹350 Crore Investment Set to Create 2,300 Jobs in Bihar, Boosting Local Economy
During the recent Project Clearance Committee (PCC) meeting held on May 23, 2026, the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) approved 20 industrial projects and allocated nearly 30 acres of land for their establishment. The total investment is projected to reach approximately ₹350 crore, facilitating the creation of around 2,300 jobs across the state. The meeting, chaired by Kundan Kumar, Secretary of the Industries Department and Managing Director of BIADA, aimed to bolster industrial growth and employment in Bihar.
Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh highlighted that these projects will infuse significant momentum into Bihar’s industrial and technological landscape, emphasizing the commitment of the government to foster an investor-friendly ecosystem. Furthermore, Singh noted that the approved initiatives will generate extensive employment and skill-based opportunities tailored for local youth. Kundan Kumar reiterated the Government’s dedication to transparent and time-efficient processes for land allotment, underlining initiatives aimed at providing a conducive environment for investment, including robust infrastructure and simplified procedural frameworks.
The approved projects encompass various sectors such as food processing, software development, healthcare, and manufacturing, with establishments planned in multiple industrial zones including Kumarbagh, Begusarai, and Hajipur. Key companies involved include Bharat GPS Bioenergy Pvt. Ltd. and Crispano Foods & Beverage Pvt. Ltd. Kumar affirmed that the realization of these projects will not only enrich the state’s industrial framework but also elevate economic activities, contributing to increased employment and entrepreneurial ventures for the local population.
