Rahul Gandhi Questions PM Modi’s Decision to Retain Education Minister Pradhan Amidst Ongoing Paper Leak Scandals.
Rahul Gandhi has called for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following multiple incidents of paper leaks related to the NEET-UG examinations. In a pointed critique aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gandhi raised questions about the government’s accountability over these irregularities during a post on X. He highlighted the cancellation of the NEET-UG after allegations of malpractice, questioning the Prime Minister’s silence and inaction amid repeated failures in the education sector.
Gandhi elaborated on the ongoing turmoil surrounding the NEET exams, referencing past incidents where paper leaks occurred without subsequent accountability. He emphasized that the “BJP-RSS nexus” has allegedly compromised the integrity of India’s education system, dismissing recommendations made by parliamentary committees as ineffectual. The Congress leader expressed serious concerns for the 22 lakh aspirants whose efforts have been undermined, demanding that those responsible for the leaks face justice.
In response to the crisis, Minister Pradhan has announced a re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026, intending to shift to a computer-based format to mitigate future irregularities. However, Gandhi’s critiques raise significant concerns about the effectiveness of current measures and leadership within the education ministry. The call for Pradhan’s dismissal has resonated widely, attracting public attention to the failures in governance and the need for systemic reforms in the education sector.
