KTR Urges Government to Accelerate Bengalgram Procurement Process for Farmers’ Benefit.
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao visited a chickpea procurement centre in Sadashivpet, Sangareddy district, advocating for the swift purchase of legumes by the State government. He emphasized the urgent need for action to prevent financial losses for farmers, who have been experiencing delays in selling their produce at the support price.
Accompanied by local MLA Chinta Prabhakar and other party legislators, Rama Rao engaged directly with farmers, who expressed frustration over lengthy wait times to dispose of their crops. This dialogue highlighted the critical challenges farmers face amid bureaucratic inefficiencies in procurement processes.
The BRS leadership’s intervention aims to press the government to accelerate procurement operations, ensuring timely support for farmers. Such efforts underscore the party’s commitment to addressing agricultural distress and supporting the livelihoods of the farming community in Telangana.
