Tamil Nadu Election Results: Early Winners Include TVK’s Sengottaiyan, DMK’s K.N. Nehru, and PMK’s Sowmiya Anbumani.
The counting of votes for the 21 Assembly constituencies in Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur, and Tiruvannamalai districts commenced at 8 a.m. in five designated centres. Strong rooms have been opened under the supervision of either the candidates or their authorized representatives to ensure transparency. The counting process has prioritized postal ballots, with votes from electronic voting machines (EVMs) set to follow once postal ballot counting concludes.
The AIADMK and its partners are making a significant presence in this election cycle, contesting in most constituencies alongside their aligned factions such as the BJP in Tiruvannamalai and PMK in Sholihgur and Polur. To facilitate the counting process, 16 tables have been set up in each constituency for each counting round. Robust security measures have been implemented, with over 4,000 police personnel, inclusive of Central forces, deployed to ensure order and security at counting centres.
