Bitcoin Approaches $78,000 as Crypto Market Cap Soars to $2.6 Trillion, Driven by $1.9 Billion in ETF Inflows!

The cryptocurrency market continues to exhibit significant activity, with Bitcoin trading near the $78,000 mark and maintaining a range of $75,700 to $79,100 throughout the week. Currently, Bitcoin is priced at approximately $78,202, contributing to a total market capitalization of $2.6 trillion. In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin recorded a 1.40% increase, while Ethereum rose by 0.68% to $2,299. Notably, major altcoins such as XRP, Tron, and Hyperliquid saw gains of up to 2.83%, contrasting with declines observed in BNB, Solana, Dogecoin, and Cardano, which fell by up to 1.37%.

According to Riya Sehgal, a Research Analyst at Delta Exchange, the current sentiment in the market remains neutral, suggesting a recovery phase rather than a euphoric rally. Bitcoin dominance has stabilized above 60%, indicating that capital is predominantly allocated in large-cap assets while altcoins are experiencing selective activity. On-chain data signals a rebound in treasury company participation from prior capitulation levels, a trend historically linked to significant price movements. However, it is important to note that the recent upward trajectory has been primarily driven by futures demand rather than spot buying, which introduces potential volatility risks.

Market analysis from WazirX indicates that Bitcoin has been consolidating at higher levels, reflecting strong buying interest as price dips are swiftly absorbed, keeping it above critical moving averages. This bodes well for momentum, particularly as institutional demand remains robust; U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted nearly $1.9 billion in inflows. Ethereum’s range has been observed between $2,240 and $2,395, during which it has displayed neutral momentum. Despite short-term consolidation, Ethereum’s price holding above key support levels indicates a steady underlying demand that could foster further growth in the coming weeks.
