Deon Energy Submits Draft IPO Papers to Sebi for Fundraising Initiative

Deon Energy, a solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company based in Ahmedabad, has filed its draft papers with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) to initiate an initial public offering (IPO). The proposed IPO will consist of a fresh issue of up to 72 lakh equity shares along with an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 20 lakh shares by the company’s promoters. The funds raised, estimated at approximately Rs 95.80 crore from the fresh issue, are intended for the establishment of a 30 MW DC independent power production plant at six identified sites in Gujarat, alongside working capital and general corporate purposes.

As a prominent player in the solar EPC sector, Deon Energy has a commendable record since its inception in 2020, executing 126 solar power projects that collectively amount to 321.53 MW DC as of August 2026. The company has reported significant revenue growth, with its operations turning over Rs 456.28 crore in FY26 compared to Rs 298.54 crore in FY25, reflecting robust operational effectiveness. The vibrant EPC order book of Rs 527.43 crore suggests promising future business opportunities, catering mainly to industrial clients across various sectors.

For Indian investors, Deon Energy’s IPO represents not only an entry into the burgeoning solar energy sector but also an opportunity to invest in a company with a strong operational history and a clear growth trajectory. The listing will occur on the BSE and NSE, and the market responses during the grey market period will be crucial for gauging investor sentiment. Given the increasing focus on renewable energy, this IPO could attract substantial interest and offers a strategic avenue for portfolio diversification.
