India Expo Centre Operator Advances Growth Plans with IPO DRHP Filed with Sebi.

India Exposition Mart, based in New Delhi, has initiated the process to launch an initial public offering (IPO), as outlined in its draft papers submitted to Sebi. The offering consists of a fresh issue of up to 75 lakh equity shares alongside an offer for sale up to 2.3 crore equity shares from existing shareholders. Notable shareholders participating in the offer for sale include well-known individuals and corporate entities such as Vectra Investments and MIL Vehicles and Technologies. Each share carries a face value of Rs 5, thus attracting a diverse investors’ base through its strategic planning.

The total proceeds from the IPO are earmarked for significant capital expenditures, with Rs 63.8 crore allocated for enhancements at the India Expo Centre and Mart. This includes updates to critical infrastructure such as air handling units, chillers, and lifts. Further, Rs 30.8 crore is designated for renovations to specific exhibition halls, while remaining funds will serve general corporate purposes. This extensive investment strategy demonstrates a focused approach to enhancing operational efficiency and increasing capacity, supporting the company’s ambitions to solidify its market position in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) segment.

Incorporated in 2001, India Exposition Mart is recognized as one of the largest exhibition venues in India. The company operates the India Expo Centre and Mart, which spans 57 acres and has been pivotal in facilitating 156 events over the past three financial years, with more than 45 confirmed future bookings. Financially, the company has shown robust growth, with revenues rising to Rs 290.6 crore in FY26 from Rs 194.7 crore in FY24, and net profits increasing to Rs 31.1 crore from Rs 23.3 crore. This upward trend underscores the resilience and expanding footprint of the company within a competitive market.

The IPO will be conducted via a book-building process, with allocations designed to cater to different investor categories: 50% for qualified institutional buyers, 15% for non-institutional investors, and 35% for retail investors. This strategic segmentation aims to attract a varied investor profile, enhancing market participation and liquidity. With Choice Capital Advisors serving as the book-running lead manager and plans for listing on prominent stock exchanges, this IPO marks a significant milestone for India Exposition Mart as it seeks to leverage its established brand and operational excellence for future growth.
