UMANG Achieves Milestone with Over 11 Crore Users and 798 Crore Transactions in Just Three Years, Says IT Ministry
The Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) platform has achieved significant milestones, registering over 11.66 crore users and facilitating nearly 798 crore transactions in just three years. Launched under the Digital India programme, UMANG aims to enhance digital governance accessibility for citizens by offering a wide range of services—from central and state governments—through a single mobile application. Meanwhile, the DigiLocker platform, which supports secure document storage and access, has garnered 72.43 crore registered users, showcasing the increasing reliance on digital solutions for administrative tasks in India.
This momentum in digital governance platforms signals a transformative shift in the Indian IT landscape. With 2,575 services currently active on UMANG and constant integration of new offerings, the demand for IT services and infrastructure development is likely to rise substantially.
