Aarti Pharmalabs Shares Soar 33% in Just Two Days Following Impressive Q1 Results: What’s Behind the Surge?
Shares of Aarti Pharmalabs have demonstrated a robust post-earnings rally, surging 33.4% over a two-day period to reach Rs 896.05 as of Tuesday. This upward momentum follows the company’s substantial performance in the June quarter, characterized by a year-on-year profit escalation of 65.4% and a revenue increase of 38.7%. The consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, amounted to Rs 535.79 crore, a significant rise from Rs 386.19 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
The earnings report reveals a compelling net profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 76.14 crore, substantially higher than the Rs 46.03 crore recorded in Q1 FY26. The basic earnings per share (EPS) improved correspondingly, advancing to Rs 8.40 from Rs 5.08, reflecting enhanced profitability driven in part by a recovery in the joint venture, Ganesh Polychem Limited. This division added Rs 7.41 crore to the net profit share, a commendable turnaround given its loss of Rs 1.80 crore a year earlier.
In addition to these impressive financial results, investor sentiment has been further buoyed by the board’s approval of a capital expenditure plan amounting to Rs 149 crore to expand their manufacturing capabilities. This initiative, involving the construction of a new Intermediate Block with an additional 405 KL capacity, aims to accommodate rising demand from contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) partners. The expansion is slated for completion within a year and will be financed through a combination of internal accruals and borrowings, highlighting a commitment to growth and strategic investment.
Furthermore, Aarti Pharmalabs is undergoing a significant leadership transition, with board modifications set to take effect from October 1, 2026, pending shareholder approval. Shri Rashesh C. Gogri will step into the role of Managing Director, while Smt. Hetal Gogri Gala will transition to Executive Director. These internal shifts are anticipated to bring new governance dynamics and potentially foster enhanced operational effectiveness within the company, aligning with its ambitious growth trajectory.
