India Welcomes Foreign Travelers: Government Opens 9 Land Ports and 2 Airports for E-Visa Holders

The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the addition of 11 international ports, including nine land ports and two airports, to the list of entry points for foreign travelers holding an electronic visa (E-visa). This expansion brings the total number of international ports facilitating E-visa entry to 88, comprising 37 airports, 38 seaports, and 13 land ports. The E-visa program, launched in 2014, has been successful in providing around 95% of applications processed in less than 72 hours.
