Lohia Corp Shares Surge 8% Above IPO Price in Strong NSE Debut.

Lohia Corp, a prominent player in the manufacturing of technical textile machinery, successfully made its market debut on both the BSE and NSE on Thursday. The stock listed at Rs 460 on the BSE, which is an 8.24% premium over its IPO price of Rs 425, while on the NSE, it debuted at Rs 461, signifying an 8.47% listing premium. This performance exceeded the grey market expectations, which had anticipated a premium of approximately 5%. Prior to the listing, the grey market premium (GMP) was recorded at about Rs 19 per share, suggesting a forecasted listing price of around Rs 444. The total IPO size stood at Rs 1,101 crore and was entirely an Offer for Sale (OFS), with shares being priced within the range of Rs 404-425 each.

The IPO, which opened for subscription from July 23 to July 27, demonstrated strong demand across various investor segments, achieving an overall subscription rate of 7.78 times. This robust interest was primarily driven by institutional investors, with the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) portion being subscribed 10.10 times. Non-Institutional Investors (NII) also contributed significantly, subscribing 6.82 times, while Retail Individual Investors (RII) saw subscriptions of 2.77 times. This strong demand is indicative of investor confidence in Lohia Corp, which saw a notable financial performance in the lead-up to its public offering.

Investors will be particularly interested in Lohia Corp’s impressive financial results, demonstrating a 64% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 193 crore for FY26, up from Rs 118 crore in the previous year. Furthermore, revenue from operations experienced healthy growth, climbing 25% year-on-year to Rs 1,717 crore. With these positive indicators, Lohia Corp’s debut signals a potentially favorable entry into the market for investors. However, the relatively subdued performance in the grey market could suggest a cautious approach ahead. As the company looks to leverage its fundamentals, investors will closely monitor whether it can convert these strong figures into sustained market performance.
