Absolute Projects and Jindal Supreme Obtain SEBI Approval to Launch IPOs
On July 17th, Sebi granted approval for Absolute Projects (India) Ltd and Jindal Supreme (India) Ltd to proceed with their respective initial public offerings (IPOs). Absolute Projects aims to issue 2 crore equity shares entirely as a fresh issue without an offer-for-sale (OFS) component. The raised funds are earmarked for modernizing its Manufacturing Facility I, acquiring machinery for Facility II, and enhancing equipment for Power EPC projects. Meanwhile, Jindal Supreme plans a dual approach with a fresh issue of 1.07 crore equity shares combined with an OFS of 26.87 lakh shares, also by promoter VVJ Enterprise Private Limited, with the proceeds focused on debt repayment. Both companies will debut on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The sentiment in the grey market for these IPOs indicates cautious optimism, as market participants are closely observing the fundamentals and future growth prospects of both companies. The manufacturing and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sectors are pivotal to India’s infrastructure growth and development, making these IPOs particularly significant. Given recent trends in the grey market, investors may see moderate premium listings, but the actual performance will likely depend on broader market conditions and investor sentiment at the time of listing.
For Indian investors, the forthcoming IPOs of Absolute Projects and Jindal Supreme represent potential investment opportunities in sectors vital for India’s infrastructure evolution. With a rising focus on infrastructure development and the ambitious push towards modernization, participating in these IPOs may offer avenues for capital appreciation. However, investors should conduct diligent research and remain aware of market volatility, particularly when investing in sectors as cyclical as manufacturing and EPC. A well-informed decision could harness the potential of these companies in a burgeoning market landscape.
